The St. Marys Area Flying Dutch basketball team used a strong second half to defeat the DuBois Area Beavers by a 64-49 score last night at the SMAHS Dutch Oven.
The Beavers held a 27-23 lead at the half. The Dutch were able to outscore DuBois by a 41-22 margin in the second half of the contest.
“I didn’t think pressure bothered them and after the first quarter they had a substantial lead,” said St. Marys coach Mark Guido. “We really thought at halftime that we needed to put pressure on them and play our style of game.”
