The team competitions in high power were completed Tuesday at the Ridgway Rifle Club as part of the NRA National Silhouette Championships.
Team "Mexico 2" was the overall winner in standard rifle with a score of 173. Team members are Jorge Moreno (Saltillo, Mexico), Angelica Kuess Davila (Laredo, Texas) and Enrique Kuess Sr. (Laredo, Texas).
Team "PE ELL #1" was second overall with a 172. Team members are Dennis Martinen (Yakima, Wash.), Laura Goetsch (Whites Creek, Tenn.) and Eric Boos (Little Rock, Wash.)
The high power hunting rifle event completed the second day of three Friday afternoon at the Ridgway Rifle Club as part of the NRA National Silhouette Championships.
Luke Johnson (Marysville) had a score of 34 and was the match winner. Mark Pharr (Round Rock, Texas) was second and Angelica Kuess Davila (Laredo, Texas) was third with a 33.
Luke Johnson (Marysville) swept both matches Friday in the high power matches at the Ridgway Rifle Club.
Johnson won the standard rifle match with a score of 35. Laura Goetsch (Whites Creek, Tenn.) took second with a 34 and William Zander (Houston, Texas) was third with a 33.
The high power hunting rifle competition began Thursday at the high power range of the Ridgway Rifle Club as part of the NRA National Silhouette Championships held all this week at the club.
Mark Pharr (Round Rock, Texas) was Thursday's match winner in hunting rifle with a score of 34. William Zander (Houston, Texas) was second at 31 and Luke Johnson (Marysville) was third in the open category with a 30.

In high power standard rifle, Angelica Kuess Davila (Laredo, Texas) was the match winner with a score of 33. Fred Kielbowick (Ridgway) was second overall with a 33 and Enrique Kuess Jr. (Laredo, Texas) was third with a 33.
The NRA National Silhouette Championships concluded the smallbore section of the week Tuesday.
Cathy Winstead-Severin (Joplin, Mo.) won the national championship in smallbore hunting rifle with a 3-day score of 108 (37-36-35). Enrique Kuess Jr. (Laredo, Texas) was second overall with a 106 and Kenneth M. Haupricht (Johnsonburg) finished third overall with a score of 102.
The NRA National Silhouette Championship completed action in the smallbore standard rifle event with a familiar face garnering the national championship.
Cathy Winstead-Severin (Joplin, Mo.) won the smallbore standard rifle national championship with a 3-day score of 113 (39-38-36). She also won the smallbore events in Ridgway last year.
Enrique Kuess Jr. (Laredo, Texas) was second overall in the aggregate with a total of 109 and Angelica Kuess Davila (Laredo, Texas) as third at 105.

Cathy Winstead-Severin (Joplin, Mo.) and Angelica Kuess Davila (Laredo, Texas) each had scores of 38 and Gabriel Guerra (Monterrey, Mexico) was third with a 37.

Gabriel Guerra (Monterrey, Mexico) was the match winner on Monday with a score of 37. Susan Peery (Churchton, Mass.) was second overall at 37 and Mallory Nichols (Fort Smith, Ark.) was third with a 36.
The NRA smallbore hunting rifle championship took place Monday afternoon at the Ridgway Rifle Club smallbore range as part of the NRA National Silhouette Championships.
The overall team winner was "Mexico 1" with a score of 202. Team members are Gabriel Guerra (Monterrey, Mexico), Angelica Kuess Davila (Laredo, Texas), and Enrique Kuess Jr. (Laredo, Texas).
The overall runner-up was team "B.A.S.S." with a score of 201. Team members are Susan Peery (Churchton, Mass.), Laura Goetsch (Whites Creek, Tenn.) and Cathy Winstead-Severin (Joplin, Mo.)
