January 25, 2012

The Elk County Catholic Crusaders raised their Allegheny Mountain League North Division record to 3-1 with a 49-39 victory over the Kane Wolves Monday night at the ECCHS gym.
The game was tied at 12 all after the first eight minutes of play with Elk outscoring Kane 14-12 in the second quarter for a 26-24 halftime lead. The Crusaders outscored the Wolves 23-15 in the second half to win the game.
“It was a good win. Kane played us really hard,” said ECCHS coach Aaron Straub.
“I thought we played hard, really scrappy, got on the floor and hustled,” said the coach.
