An following article recently appeared in the Bennetts Valley Newspaper regarding the St. Marys Area School Board decision on the demolition of that portion of the Bennetts Valley Elementary School that once was the Bennetts Valley High School.
 A public meeting is scheduled on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. at the Bennetts Valley Elementary to give the local citizens of Bennetts Valley an opportunity to express their views on this decision.
 Many of us feel that before this decision becomes final that other avenues should be explored to save this community landmark.
The APMI West Penn Chapter recently held its monthly technical session
meeting at The Royal Inn in Ridgway. Jose Medina,General Manager

Joseph A. Sette, 86, of Lock Haven, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012 at Lock Haven Hospital.
He was born Sept. 24, 1926, in Renovo, the son of the late Frank and Concettina Curato Sette.
He had been a Lock Haven resident since the end of WWII. Mr. Sette was Catholic by faith. He had served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of WWII. He had been employed at Lock Haven University.
Katrina E. Bjorkquist, 84, of Elk Haven Nursing Home in St. Marys, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 23, 1928, in Ridgway, the daughter of the late Claus and Olivia Johnson Bjorkquist.
She was a lifelong Ridgway resident. Ms. Bjorkquist was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Lutheran Women and choir. She had been employed at West Penn Power and Ridgway Community Nurses.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
