WARREN – Central Pennsylvania Investment and Wealth Management Company (CPI), a locally owned, full-service financial institution located in St. Marys, has announced the opening of a branch office in Warren. The expansion into the Warren market will allow CPI, an independent firm processing with Woodbury Financial Services Inc., to further assist its clientele in providing proactive financial solutions.
HARRISBURG - Because of the damaging effects of Hurricane Sandy, PennDOT Secretary Barry J. Schoch has announced that effective today, PennDOT has authorized an extension of the expiration dates for Pennsylvania driver licenses, identification cards and vehicle inspections/registrations.
Grace M. "Grayce" Uher, 90, of Dunbar died on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012 at Highlands Hospital in Connellsville.
She was born on March 14, 1922 in Connellsville, daughter of the late John and Anna Goulosh Kendrish.
She was a member of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary societies. She retired from Pechins Foods (produce and meat departments).
Grayce was an avid cook and baker. A favorite pastime of hers was collecting angels.
Stephen B. "E.T." Palmer, 45, of 101 Fern Lane, Kersey, died Wednesday morning, October 31, 2012, at Sena-Kean Manor in Smethport following a short illness.
He was born Nov. 2, 1966 in St. Marys, son of Donna Schreiber Palmer and the late Frederick Palmer.
Formerly of St. Marys, he resided in Kersey since 1990. He attended St. Marys Area High School and graduated from Jeff Tech, DuBois, as a machinist.
He was a member of Queen of the World Parish in St. Marys. He especially loved spending time with his children, camping, hunting and fishing, and driving four-wheelers and snowmobiles.
Arbutus L. Kear, 84, of Redwood Avenue in Weedville, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012 at Christ the King Manor.
Born on Sept. 17, 1928 in Tyler, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Minnie (Lewis) Tesauro. On July 16, 1949, she married Arthur F. Kear, who survives.
She was a homemaker and attended Weedville Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Aid.
