Democratic U.S. Sen. Bob Casey, 52, of Scranton, was re-elected for a second term, defeating Republican Tom Smith. Casey's victory also cements a seat that Democrats had counted on in the struggle for control of the U.S. Senate.

David Thomas Mosier

David Thomas Mosier, 46, of Stormstown and formerly of Kersey and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, died unexpectedly Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012.
Born April 9, 1966, in Kersey, he was the son of William L. and Elizabeth A. McMackin Mosier. He married Laura Hargrove on Aug. 18, 1990 in State College, and she survives.
