Old portion of BV School's future discussed

The St. Marys Area School District Board of Directors held a special public meeting on Thursday evening at the Bennetts Valley Elementary School in order to provide background information and host an open discussion as the board contemplates the future of the old portion of the school, which has fallen into disrepair.

Charles J. Schutz, 80, formerly of Brockway and a resident at Christ the King Manor in DuBois, died with his loving family at his side on Nov. 7, 2012 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.
He was born in St. Marys on June 26, 1932, the son of the late Jerome and Dorothy Dill Schutz. He married Mary Lou Renwick, who died on Sept. 27, 1965.

Mary M. Glatt, 69, of 676 Washington St., St. Marys, died at her home on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012.
She was born July 18, 1943 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late George and Cecelia Klaiber Glatt.
Mary was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of St. Mary's Church.  She retired from Sylvania after many years of service.  She enjoyed her pets, reading and watching football.
