Rose Marie Ginther, 85, of 301 Ford Rd., St. Marys, died peacefully at her home on Friday evening, March 16, 2012 surrounded by her family.  Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael St., St. Marys on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Queen of the World Church on Tuesday, March 20, at noon. A full obituary will follow in Monday's edition.

Patricia A. "Pat" Feronti

Patricia A. "Pat" Feronti, 77, of 326 Powers Ave., Johnsonburg, died Friday afternoon, March 16, 2012 at Select Specialty Care Hospital in Erie following a lengthy illness.
She was born April 13, 1934 in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late John and Eva Mishenko Mackoviak. In 1956, she married Keith VonArx, who preceded her in death in 1999. On May 3, 2002, she married Alfred "Bud" Feronti of Johnsonburg, who survives.

Curves participates in Relay for Life for second year

Curves on Friday was the setting for an all day-fundraising event in its second year as a Relay for Life participant. Owner Peggy Yeager bought the business just two years ago.
"I personally have lost family members and loved ones, I think we all have. I think cancer is a disease that touches each and every one of us," Yeager said.

Questions surround Jay Twp. appointment

An appointment to fill a vacancy within the Jay Township Water Authority had attendees of Thursday's meeting of the board of supervisors shaking their heads and accusing board members of violating their own policy concerning the application process.
Applicants for the vacancy created by the February resignation of Geoff Sidelinger were Marty Rosenfeld and Jay Twp. Supervisor Murray K. "Keith" Lilley.
