Ronald C. Ecklund, 73, of 668 Washington Rd., St. Marys, died Tuesday morning, April 17, 2012, at Elk Regional Health Center following a lengthy illness.
He was born Feb. 3, 1939 in Ridgway, son of the late Charles M. and Martha L. (Fischer) Ecklund. On Nov. 11, 1983, he married Ann Werner Ecklund, who survives.
Elizabeth C. "Elsie" Desjardins, 87, of 100 Forest Rd., St. Marys, died unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, April 17, 2012.
She was born Jan. 5, 1926 in Neunkirchen, Germany, a daughter of the late Martin and Ella Scheer Kraeber.
Mrs. Desjardins was a member of the St. Mary's Church. She retired from Pure Carbon after many years of service. She enjoyed playing cards and reading.
She was married to the late Francis R. Fodge, who preceded her in death in 1986. She was then preceded in death by her second husband, Gerard R. Desjardins, in 1988.
