KERSEY – The Elk County Fair is featuring a new event this year, as a "street truck tire pull" event will debut at the fairgrounds in Kersey.
"I was at a fair in Albion [N.Y.] and people come off the streets with their pickup trucks and try to pull this weight behind them," said Merv Kemmer, fair manager.
In Albion, N.Y., the event was quite popular and Kemmer hopes to replicate that popularity in Kersey.
"They received a good turnout [in Albion]," Kemmer said. "We have large industrial tires [on the Al Dietz Memorial Track] and it's going to be a fun night to see how it works out."
