Travis J. Young, 38, of Clearfield, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012 at his residence.
Born on March 7, 1974 in Clearfield, he was the son of Thomas L. and Judith A. (Mohr) Young of Clearfield, who survive.
Travis attended Clearfield High School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting coins and movies. He was Baptist by faith.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Beth O'Shell of Syracuse, N.Y.; two nephews, Wallace Kowalski of Seguinn, Texas, and Sean O'Shell of Syracuse, N.Y.; and a niece, Shannon O'Shell of Syracuse, N.Y.
MECKLENBURG CO., N.C. - Following his apprehension in Matthews, N.C. on Wednesday, Richard A. Danz, 47, of St. Marys, wanted by authorities in connection with felony charges alleging he defrauded Elk County businesses and private investors, was charged as a fugitive and released Thursday on $30,000 bond in a Mecklenburg County, N.C. district court.
Following the completion of a watershed restoration project six years in the making, the Elk County Freshwater Association recently held a presentation at the St. Marys Moose to provide area residents with a detailed account of their endeavors to reduce the impact of acid rain on Big Mill Creek and announce the next project they plan to tackle.
