RIDGWAY - Representatives of Seneca Resources Corporation discussed their proposal to convert a natural gas production well in Highland Twp. into an injection well at Monday's meeting of the Elk County Gas Task Force.
Dorothy Gigliotti-Hetrick, 69, of East Long Avenue, DuBois, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013 at the DuBois Nursing Home following a short illness.
She was born on June 7, 1943 in Sligo, daughter of Luella (Smith) Wolff of DuBois and the late James Wolff.
With the St. Marys Area School District owing $117,084.90 to cyber schools for the 2012-2013 school year so far, superintendent Ann Kearney said at Monday's meeting of the board of directors that the district can expect to owe in excess of $300,000 by year's end as more SMASD students continue to enroll in cyber schools and government reimbursements cease to exist.

JAY TWP. - A recent meeting of the Jay Township Board of Supervisors included further discussion of what the board will do with roughly $70,000 received from the state as part of its Act 13 impact fee revenue.
The Fox Township Supervisors approved the advertisement of various pieces of equipment during their recent meeting.
Among the equipment set to be advertised is a 2000 Sterling dump truck. Roadmaster Randy Gradizzi said the township has ordered a new dump truck which will be delivered at the end of February or beginning of March.
CLARION COUNTY — Clarion-based Pennsylvania State Police have reported that a 19-year-old woman reported missing over the weekend was found deceased inside her vehicle — which she was last seen driving Friday evening — Tuesday morning at 7 a.m.
PSP report that the victim, Devan C. Knapp of Brookville, was discovered in the vehicle along Summerville Drive in Millcreek Township, Clarion County, by a passerby. Members of PSP-Clarion and PSP-Punxsy reported to the scene.Â
The incident remains under open investigation, with an autopsy to be conducted at a date and time yet to be determined.
The body of missing Brookville teen Devan C. Knapp, 19, was reportedly located earlier this morning in Millcreek Township, Clarion County. A cause of death has not been announced and an autopsy will be performed.
