ST. MARYS - The St. Marys City Police Department reports that charges have been filed against a female juvenile who claimed to be the victim of a kidnapping attempt outside St. Marys Area High School on Wednesday night.

Calvin M. Parks, 72, of 128 Grandview Rd., St. Marys, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at the Elk Regional Health Center following a lengthy illness.
He was born October 1, 1940 in Johnsonburg, son of the late Lawrence and Vivian Klase Parks.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Johnsonburg Area Schools. He was a retired employee of the St. Marys Carbon Company, working from August 1965 till January 1997.
Marie E. Lewis, 91, a resident of Pinecrest Manor, and formerly of Weedville and 101 N. Mill Street, Ridgway, died on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013 at Elk Regional Health Center in St. Marys following a lengthy illness.
She was born on March 4, 1921 in Johnsonburg, a daughter of the late Hilary and Ethel McClintick Lewis.
Nerino R. Facchine, 89, of 1762 Bucktail Road, St. Marys, died on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 at Elk Regional Health Center following a brief illness.
He was born October 4, 1923 in Byrnedale, son of the late Joseph and Theresa Baruffalo Facchine.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Weedville schools. He had been an employee of Stackpole Carbon Company for over 25 years, founded Facchine Sanitation in Kersey in 1964 and was a self-employed mason.
In February 1976, in the Queen of the World Church, he married Sara Woelfel Wolfe, who survives.
Leonore T. Burke, 89, of Caledonia, died Friday, January 18, 2013 at DRMC after a lengthy illness.
She was born April 28, 1923, daughter of the late Bert and Mern (Carter) Murphy.
She married Robert E. Burke and he preceded her in death in 1989.
She was a graduate of Benezette School, was a homemaker, and also worked at Sylvania during WWII. She lived all her life in Bennetts Valley and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Corrine M. Alphonso, 84, of 201 Russ Lane, St. Marys, died at her home on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013 following a lengthy illness.
She was born February 15, 1928 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late George and Bertha Eberl Meier.
On May 8, 1954 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, she married the late Harold Alphonso, who preceded her in death on November 4, 1994.
