The Elk County Catholic Lady Crusaders advanced to the District 9 Class A final four by defeating the Keystone Lady Panthers 3-1 last night in a quarterfinal match.
Elk Catholic will meet the Oswayo Valley Green Wave in the semifinals. Oswayo Valley needed five sets to get by Port Allegany last night 25-17, 25-21, 20-25, 13-25 and 17-15.
The other semifinal match Saturday at St. Marys Area will see Clarion taking on North Clarion. Clarion ousted AC Valley while North Clarion eliminated Union.
The Fox Township Supervisors discussed several topics during a recent meeting. Among them was obtaining additional quotes for the Gahr Road project and the purchase of a new shed for newspaper recycling.
The township plans to send out additional requests for proposals for other engineering firms for the Gahr Road project. An initial bid they received for engineering costs on the project came in at $51,000, which supervisors Dave Mattiuz and Randy Gradizzi agreed was too high.
