Judy A. Leahy, 62, of 432 East Main St., Ridgway, died Saturday morning, Nov. 16, 2013 at Elk Regional Health Center following a lengthy illness.
She was born July 9, 1951 in Washington, Pa., the daughter of the late Kenneth and Juanita Sweet Watson.

District approves personnel issues

The St. Marys Area School District Board of Directors approved several personnel items during their recent meeting.
All employment recommendations are provisional for 30 days pending receipt of Act 151 and Act 34 clearance documentation and pre-employment drug testing if applicable.

Fox Twp. sees decrease in proposed 2014 budget

The Fox Township Supervisors recently approved a proposed 2014 budget of $2.06 million with no change in taxes for township residents.
The new budget is less than the 2013 budget which was $2.3 million. This is a result of a nearly $62,000 decrease in income from the Greentree Landfill. The proposed income to collected for the 2014 landfill host fee is estimated at $745,903.
