Cold and snowy conditions on Thursday morning did not stop roughly a hundred people from taking part in the ninth annual Turkey Trot 5K walk/run, which is held annually by the family of Andy and Pam Schlimm to raise money for prostate cancer research.

Willis G. Smith, 85, of 1678 Bucktail Rd., St. Marys, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013 at the Pinecrest Manor after a lengthy illness.
He was born April 30, 1928, in St. Marys, son of the late Joseph E. and Dorothy M. Gleixner Smith.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. He was a retired supervisor at Sylvania for many years.
On Nov. 18, 1952, in the Sacred Heart Church, he married Grace A. Taylor, who preceded him in death on June 23, 2001.
