Priscilla A. (Teddy) Sterbank, 97, a resident of Pinecrest Manor and formerly of Cedar Road, Kersey, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013 at Pinecrest Manor after a brief illness.
She was born Nov. 20, 1915, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Joseph and Kathryn Stockman Rigard. On April 25, 1937, in the Sacred Heart Church, she married John J. Sterbank, who preceded her in death on April 29, 1992.
Mrs. Sterbank was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Sacred Heart School. She was a former employee of Sylvania in St. Marys.
Casimir â€śCharlieâ€ť Carpin, 84, of Bennetts Valley Highway, Weedville, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 at DRMC after a lengthy illness.
He was born March 4, 1928 in Weedville, son of the late Salvatore â€śSamâ€ť and Manuello â€śMinnieâ€ť (Dilullo) Carpin.
On Nov. 25, 1950 he married Aileen M. Cameroni, who survives.
He lived all his life in Bennetts Valley and was a graduate of Bennetts Valley schools and the DuBois Business College. He served in the U.S. Navy.
He was employed as a drafter and designer of homes and a building material salesman with Corbet Cabinet & Burke Bros. of St. Marys.
