Johnsonburg boys' basketball finished the regular season with a 75-36 victory over St. Marys Wednesday night at Johnsonburg Area High School.
The St. Marys Area gymnastics team will travel to Moon Township this weekend to compete in the PA Gymnastics Championship Meet scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
The St. Marys squad, along with seven other teams, will be competing in the Bronze Division.
The St. Marys Area gymnasts who qualified for the PA Individual Championship are:
Allegra Schloder and Nicole Florio as all-arounds in bronze.
Jessica Tettis on vault and floor in bronze.
Madison Quesenberry on bars and beam in bronze.
Hannah Wittman on vault in bronze.
Keara Shrefler on vault in silver.
Genevieve Ohlin, 87, of Suwanee, Ga., died on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013.
Born in Kersey, Genevieve was a loving homemaker and devout member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. She was also an avid reader who loved to play bridge.
She married Raymond Ohlin, her husband of 59 years, who preceded her in death
Constance L. (Connie) Eckert, 78, died at her home in Galeton on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013.
Connie was born in St. Marys in 1934 and graduated from St. Marys High School in 1953.
On February 12, 1955 in St. Marys, she married her loving husband of 58 years, Jerome Eckert, who survives.
She was very active in the Catholic Church and various charities, including the Special Olympics, and enjoyed sports and spending time with her family.
William H. Decker, 83, of 1207 E. Eschbach Road, St. Marys, died on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Punxsutawney Hospital following a lengthy illness.Â
He was born February 5, 1930 in St. Marys, a son of the late Clarence and Gertrude Klausman Decker.
On April 24, 1965 in Tyler Church, he married Thomasine Czajkouski Decker, who survives.
JOHNSONBURG - A Johnsonburg man charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl picked up outside a St. Marys slumber party waived his preliminary hearing in Magisterial District Court Wednesday.

The Elk County Catholic Lady Crusader basketball team halted Bradford's 19-game District 9 League win streak Tuesday night by handing the Lady Owls a 58-49 loss at the ECCHS gym on Senior Night.
The Redbank Valley Bulldogs proved to be a tough opponent for the St. Marys Area Flying Dutchmen in their final home dual meet of the season, as the Dutchmen were limited to just three bout victories as they were defeated 46-18 by the recently crowned PIAA Class AA D9 champs on Tuesday evening at the SMAHS Dutch Oven.
The St. Marys girls’ swim and dive team continued their quest for an undefeated season by downing the Clearfield Lady Bison on Monday night at the SMAHS Natatorium.
