BRADFORD â€“ Police on Thursday arrested a McKean County man who they say used his computer to look up and download child pornography.
Christopher Williams Abrams, 28, of 20 Burnside Ave. in Bradford was charged after police conducting undercover surveillance on a "peer to peer file sharing program," reportedly traced pornographic images of sex acts involving boys and girls, some as young as three years-of-age, back to his computer.
Ronald E. Radaelli, 77, formerly of the Million Dollar Highway, died on Friday, June 28, 2013 at Elk Haven Nursing Home following an illness of the past year.
He was born June 29, 1935 in Coal Hollow, a son of the late Pietro and Augusta Palazzi Radaelli.
On March 2, 1957 in Brandy Camp, he married the late Anna Bella Johnson Radaelli, who preceded him in death on February 25, 2009.
Thomas John McGill, 68, of Gardner Hill, Weedville died suddenly on Wednesday, June 26, 2013.Â
He was born February 17, 1945 in St. Marys, son of the late Aloysius McGill and Mary Piccolo McGill Reed.
He was a graduate of St. Marys High School and was in the Air Force during Vietnam. He was an avid Penn State Fan, enjoyed the outdoors, and loved watching his grandchildren play sports.
RIDGWAY â€“ The North Central Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission announced at Wednesday's meeting that it has renegotiated $38,000 off of $205,482 in annual leases on three of its six Careerlink properties as part of continued efforts to streamline organization expenditures.
The Fox Township Bicentennial Celebration kicks off today with the opening of vendor booths at 3 p.m. Among this weekend's highlights are firework displays, a parade, food and beverage vendors, concerts and much more taking place at numerous venues within the Main Street area.
The opening ceremony is slated for tonight at 7 p.m. at the Fox Twp. Community Park, followed by a grand firework display after dark.
ERIE â€“ A St. Marys man who pleaded guilty on April 18 to the theft of $500,000 from the Elk County Humane Society is asking to be released from federal custody until his September sentencing.
On June 24, Richard A. Danz filed a motion for release in which his attorneys argue that their client was incorrectly labeled a "flight risk" by prosecutors. Defense attorneys claim when Danz, age 48, and his family left their St. Marys home on Aug. 29, 2012, for Matthews, N.C., he was unaware that criminal charges had been filed against him in Elk County that same day.

McKEAN CO. â€“ A New York man and convicted sex offender who evaded authorities for over 12 years has been found living in McKean County.
The St. Marys Little League Softball Major All Stars (11-12 year olds) advanced to the finals of the District 10 Major League Tournament with an 8-4 victory over the Warren squad Wednesday night at Benzinger Park.
St. Marys will now take on Punxsutawney tonight in the finals. St. Marys, the winners of the loser's bracket, must defeat Punxsy twice in order to win the District 10 crown. Tonight's game will start at 6 p.m. at a site to be determined.
St. Marys American Legion Post 103 ace Jack Herzing recorded a no-hitter against Port Allegany on Wednesday evening as St. Marys claimed the 7-1 victory in the contest at Berwind Park. In addition to not giving up any hits, Herzing fanned 16 and walked three.
