RIDGWAY â€“ An inmate at Elk County Prison has been charged with possession of contraband after corrections officers searching her cell allegedly found prescription drugs in her pillow case.
On June 20, officers searching the Elk County Prison D-Block cell of Sarah Angeline Petitt, 29, of St. Marys, allegedly found a "small baggie containing one and one-half white pills," later identified as Buprenorphine.

Carolyn Kathryn Jane Luchini Miller, 77, of State College and a former Kersey resident died on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at her residence following an illness of the past several months.
She was born Dec. 24, 1935 in Kersey, daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Dominica Antonioli Luchini. As an infant her mother passed away and she was raised by Joseph and Mary Antonioli Capuccini and they also preceded her in death.
On May 26, 1962, in the Holy Cross Church in Brandy Camp, she married James Carl Miller and he survives.
Kenneth M. Herzing, 82, of 715 Clark Rd., St. Marys, died on Monday, June 24, 2013 at the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh as a result of pneumonia and heart problems.
He was born Sept. 3, 1931 in St. Marys, son of the late John A.C. and Bertha Weinzierl Herzing. On Oct. 11, 1953, in the Sacred Heart Church, he married Mary Lou McKnight and she survives.
The St. Marys Little League major league baseball all stars homered four times on Monday evening at Memorial Park en route to a 17-1 four inning victory over the visiting Johnsonburg squad in the opening round of the District 10 Boys Majors (11-12) North/South combined tournament.

Robert A. Zawatski, 66, of 127 Terra Cotta Rd., Johnsonburg, died on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport following a lengthy illness.
He was born on December 13, 1946 in Ridgway.
He married Catherine A. "Cathy" Tomaski on December 5, 1970 in the Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg; she survives.
Mr. Zawatski resided in Johnsonburg all his life. He graduated from Johnsonburg High School in 1964 and was a member of the Holy Rosary Church. He was employed by the Sylvania Corp., in St. Marys for 35 years.
Patricia Marie Gordon Gnan, 52, of Ridgway died unexpectedly Saturday, June 22, 2013.
She was born March 15, 1961, the daughter of the late William and Margaretta Gill Gordon.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, animals, and riding motorcycles. She overcame many hardships including being a two-year cancer survivor and can now rest in peace.
