Crusaders jump out to early lead, roll to win over Wolves

Christopher Matthew Riley, 17, of Ash St., Ridgway, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh from complications from the flu.
He was born Jan. 31, 1995 in St. Marys, the son of Julie and Shawn Laughner of Ridgway, and Mark and Maria Riley of Johnsonburg.
Chris was a senior at Ridgway Area High School. He was a hard worker. He held three paper routes since he was 11 and recently started working at Aiello’s Café as a dishwasher. He was a typical teenage boy. He loved to hang out with all of his friends and his girlfriend, Alexandria Hill.

Council approves ordinance changes, wages, school signs

During a brief nine-minute public meeting, St. Marys City Council discussed ordinance 279. Matt Pfeufer, city zoning officer, said the ordinance pertains to minor changes of technical provisions and typographical errors in the city's zoning ordinance.

Irene A. O'Rourke, 86, of 804 Rasselas Rd., Wilcox, died Sunday morning, Jan. 20, 2013, at Elk Haven Nursing Home in St. Marys following a lengthy illness.
She was born March 6, 1926 in Wilcox, daughter of the late Edward and Alice Retzer Powell.
On June 14, 1945 in St. Ann's Church, Wilcox, she married Calvin S. O'Rourke, who survives.

Margaret M. Dugan

Margaret M. Dugan, 93, formally from Lake Shore Dr., Chicago, Ill., died Jan. 7, 2013 at the Illinois Masonic Hospital in Chicago after a long illness. 
Born on Nov. 4, 1919, in Brockway, she was the daughter of the late John and Virginia Suhanowski Dugan.
Margaret graduated Valedictorian from Brockway High school in 1938. She went on to attend secretarial school and have a successful career, which included being the secretary to Federal Judge Edwin Robson 
before working at the University of Chicago Law School, where she was secretary to the Dean.

The St. Marys Area gymnastics team fared well at the Moon Gymnastics Invitational held Saturday at Moon Township placing third overall with 128.625 points.
