Joyce Gayle Holjencin, 70, formerly of Emporium, died Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Sena-Kean Manor in Smethport.
She was born May 13, 1942, in Crosscreek, the daughter of the late Everett and Ruth Orrick.Â
On June 2, 1960, in Coalport, she married Thomas Holjencin, who preceded her in death on August 24, 2006.
A new mixer-style format is the setup for this year's annual Elk County Women's Social presented by the St. Marys Area Chamber of Commerce. Donna Rae McGill, 68, of Willow Street, Johnsonburg, died early Monday, April 8, 2013 at home following a lengthy illness.
She was born Jan. 3, 1945 in Ridgway daughter of the late Raymond and Florence (Rosetto) Blashock. She married James McGill on June 25, 1967, he survives.

The Elk County Catholic Lady Crusader softball team put together a four-run first inning on Saturday and held on to win their home opener 6-1 over the visiting Brockway Lady Rovers in a contest played on a breezy but sunny afternoon at Benzinger Park.
