Johnsonburg boys basketball's season did not end as sweet as the Rams would have hoped for.

The 18 members of the Dynamic Dance Competition Company (DDCC) recently completed their season, during which they succeeded in bringing home some of the highest placements in the history of April School of Dance. JAY TWP. - The Jay Township Water Authority is appealing to the Jay Twp. Board of Supervisors to consider backing loans for nearly a half-million dollars in improvements to the township's water treatment plant.
Edith Marie Palumbo of 451 South Michael Rd., St. Marys, died on Friday, March 22, 2013 at the Elk Regional Health Center after a brief illness.
She was born Nov. 8 in Force, daughter of the late Charles and Bada Cameroni Angelo. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Weedville High School. She was a former employee of Sylvania in St. Marys and the former Riverside Market in St. Marys.
On April 25, 1946 in the St. Joseph’s Church in Force, she married John J. Palumbo, who preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 2000.
Louis B. Luchini, 90, of 118 Dagus Mines Rd., Kersey, died Thursday, March 21, 2013 at the Elk Regional Health Center after a lengthy illness.
He was born on Feb. 21, 1923 in South Kersey, son of the late Joseph and Catherine Antonioli Luchini.
On May 9, 1953, in the St. Boniface Church, he married Hazel L. Lavella, who survives.
Mr. Luchini was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Kersey schools. He was a retired employee of Airco Speer, retiring in 1985 after 44.5 years of service.
Geraldine “Jerry” M. Grumley, 87, of 204 Jefferson Ave., Ridgway, died Thursday, March 21, 2013 at the Elk Regional Health Center following an illness of several months.
She was born Feb. 16, 1926, in Ridgway, the daughter of the late Elmer and Ruth Wicks Nelson. On July 26, 1947, she married Thomas M. Grumley, who preceded her in death on April 17, 2012. They were a perfect match.
Helen C. Glass of Colorado Springs, Colo. died on Nov. 14, 2012.
She was born on Nov. 14, 1943 in St. Marys, the daughter of the late Richard and Catherine Hoffman Glass.
Helen was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1960. She is survived by her companion, Jackson; a son, Richard (Lisa) Taube; a grandson, Richard Taube Jr.; four sisters, Rita, Barbara "Bubbles," Irene, and Linda; and three brothers, Jerry, Jim, and Andy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Steven Taube in 2012; and a brother, Richard.
