St. Marys Catholic Middle School is performing 'The Little Mermaid Jr.' on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Elk County Catholic High School auditorium. The show is open to the public and free of charge, however donations will be collected. The 18-member cast and four-member stage crew have been busy practicing twice a week since January.

St. Marys residents David Keith Aul, 19, Rebecca Elaine Aul, 23, Thomas Peter Yanak, 20, and Ben Samick, 19, have all been charged with four counts each of unlawful killing and taking of big game during a closed season, a misdemeanor of the second degree, after PGC officers identified them as those allegedly responsible for poaching four deer in Kersey.

John R. Gerg, 74, formerly of 408 Center St., St. Marys, and a resident of New Port Richey, Fla., since 2006, died unexpectedly on Monday, Feb. 25, 2013 at his home.
He was born April 24, 1938 in St. Marys, the only child of the late John G. and Rita J. Golden Gerg.
John was an employee of Stackpole Carbon and then Sylvania, from which he retired. He served as a private in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1959.
Wayne A. Wickett, 57, of 478 Brusselles St., St. Marys, died on Monday, March 4, 2013 at Elk Regional Health Center following a lengthy illness.
He was born Feb. 8, 1956 in St. Marys, a son of the late Herbert and Helen Parana Wickett.
On May 15, 1981 in St. Mary's Church, he married Patricia Beaver Wickett, who survives.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of SMAHS, Class of 1974.Â He worked at Metaldyne for many years and also owned and operated his own business, Wickett's Machining.Â He enjoyed watching sports, cooking and making wine.Â

RIDGWAY - Bridgett M. Huff, 36, of St. Marys, was sentenced in Elk County Court Monday on charges that she stole $20,000 from the Walmart Supercenter Store #1792 in Fox Township while employed there over a two-year period.
