ST. MARYS - A St. Marys woman has been charged with multiple felony counts of identity theft and related offenses after she allegedly ran up over $13,000 in credit card bills under the assumed identity of an elderly neighbor.

Priscilla A. (Teddy) Sterbank, 97, a resident of Pinecrest Manor and formerly of Cedar Road, Kersey, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013 at Pinecrest Manor after a brief illness.
She was born Nov. 20, 1915, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Joseph and Kathryn Stockman Rigard. On April 25, 1937, in the Sacred Heart Church, she married John J. Sterbank, who preceded her in death on April 29, 1992.
Mrs. Sterbank was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Sacred Heart School. She was a former employee of Sylvania in St. Marys.
Casimir “Charlie” Carpin, 84, of Bennetts Valley Highway, Weedville, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 at DRMC after a lengthy illness.
He was born March 4, 1928 in Weedville, son of the late Salvatore “Sam” and Manuello “Minnie” (Dilullo) Carpin.
On Nov. 25, 1950 he married Aileen M. Cameroni, who survives.
He lived all his life in Bennetts Valley and was a graduate of Bennetts Valley schools and the DuBois Business College. He served in the U.S. Navy.
He was employed as a drafter and designer of homes and a building material salesman with Corbet Cabinet & Burke Bros. of St. Marys.

Dorothy Marie (Dippold) Keller, 93, of Gaithersburg, Md., died on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 in Gaithersburg, Md.
She was born on May 16, 1919 in St. Marys, the seventh of eight children born to the late John A. and Katherine “Kate” (Erich) Dippold. Mrs. Keller’s husband of 67 years, William Charles Keller, predeceased her exactly six months previously on Aug. 22, 2012.
On Sunday, Pope Benedict XVI led the Angelus, a Roman Catholic devotion to Jesus, from his studio window before an estimated crowd of 200,000. This marked the last time he will lead the devotion as Pope; after an eight-year Pontificate, he is stepping down due to health reasons and will officially retire at 8 p.m. Thursday.
Two Elk County natives will be performing with the Lycoming College Tour Choir as they make a stop in St. Marys for a Friday evening performance at the Shiloh Presbyterian Church on Washington Street.
