Gene L. Gasbarre, 85, formerly of 121 Polk Ave., Ridgway died Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Snyder Memorial Health Care in Marienville.
He was born May 21, 1928 in Ridgway, son of the late Zachary and Angela (DiNardo) Gasbarre.
He married Hilda J. Winters on December 28, 1950, and she preceded him in death on June 11, 2012.

The St. Marys Area Chamber of Commerce moved their annual Fourth of July celebration to the St. Marys Airport this year and, while some residents were hesitant about the move, many seemed pleased with the overall event and responded to a request on The Daily Press' Facebook page to share their thoughts.
Area youngsters between the ages of five and 14 who plan to participate in Inner Park Day at Memorial Park this year are encouraged to sign up for the event by July 8. Alice M. Fleming, 87, of Silver Creek Terrace and formerly of 838 South Michael Road, St. Marys, died Monday, July 1, 2013 at the Elk Haven Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
She was born June 9, 1926, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Michael and Esther Haberberger Baumer. On April 19, 1947, in the St. Mary's Church, she married Richard N. Fleming and he preceded her in death on March 11, 2012.
Doris L. Skok, 81, a resident of Cedar Ridge Retirement Village in Washington State and formerly a resident of St. Marys, died Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in her home following a brief illness.
She was born May 26, 1932 in Granville, daughter of the late Lillian Feldbauer.
She was a graduate of St. Marys High School, Class of 1950.
On August 8, 1954, in the Sacred Heart Church, she married Thomas Skok and he preceded her in death in 2009.
Mrs. Skok was a former employee of Airco Speer.
RIDGWAY - With the majority of Elk County's 3,000 military veterans currently traveling up to two hours for hospitalization - and an hour for a checkup - through US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), a local advocacy group is working to bring a clinic here that would cater to the county's servicemen and women.
