The Elk County Catholic Lady Crusader softball team defeated the Ridgway Lady Elkers by a 7-0 score Tuesday afternoon at Benzinger Park.

Elk County Recycling Coordinator Bekki Titchner emphasized the vast amount of electronic items they are being inundated with at the Community Recycling Center in St. Marys. Betty Joan Pounds Gagliardi, 76, of Nitrate Street, Tyler, died at home on Saturday, April 27, 2013 after a lengthy illness.
She was born January 31, 1937 in Irvona, daughter of the late Edward Harper and Drucilla (Isenburg) Pounds.
On April 24, 1956 she married Dominick Gagliardi, and he preceded her in death on May 23, 1974. Â
A housewife, she has been a Bennetts Valley resident since 1950. She enjoyed crocheting and especially her grandchildren.
