Among the latest personnel changes approved by the St. Marys Area School District Board of Directors are new hires of support personnel, awarding of numerous supplemental contracts, retirements, a resignation, leaves of absences and transfer of support personnel.
Those announcing their retirements were Superintendent Ann Kearney of Kane, South St. Marys Street Elementary School Principal Robert Grumley of Johnsonburg and Business Manager Cindy FinGado. All are effective June 30, 2014.
Individuals from all walks of life are buried in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Some lived long lives, while others barely had a chance to live at all. It is the individuals in the latter category that local historian Ray Beimel discussed during part of his recent tour of the facility.Â
Beimel began by stopping at the grave of Rose D. Weis, who died in 1928 at the age of 25.Â
