Ann Ehrensberger, 47, of Franklin, Tenn., originally from St. Marys, died Friday, March 14, 2014 at her home.
She is survived by her mother, Margaret Ehrensberger, and her brother, Daniel (Liezl) Ehrensberger.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Ehrensberger.
She will be greatly missed by her mother and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on March 17 at the St. Philip Catholic Church in Franklin. Inurnment took place in the Williamson Memorial Gardens â€” Remembrance Mausoleum.
Congressman Glenn "GT' Thompson visited with area students recently during a multi-school tour where they discussed various topics. Elk County Catholic High School student government participants had the opportunity to interact with Thompson as part of a question and answer session which yielded discussion on current events.
Elk County Catholic School System President Sam MacDonald greeted Thompson and his staff member Deborah Pontzer, an economic development and workforce specialist based out of Ridgway.
The general consensus of business owners along South St. Marys Street seems to be that the inconveniences are worthwhile in the end.
Steve and Kim Kunes, owners of Ace Auto, said that they lost 10 feet of their property to the state right-of-way but the retaining wall was rebuilt at no cost to them.
â€śWeâ€™re happy for the wall,â€ť Steve said. â€śI wish they would have finished the wall and I wish they would have made the wall higher so I could have got some of my property back, but thatâ€™s the state. They took quite a bit.â€ť

The old Historical Society of St. Marys and Benzinger Township building was razed on Monday. Work began in the morning and into the afternoon hours. The new building stands in the background.
