Residents learns details of seismic drilling project

Local property owners residing in the Taft Road area had the opportunity to pose questions about upcoming seismic testing taking place within a 150-square-mile area of a portion of St. Marys.
Seneca Resources hosted a public meeting on Tuesday evening at the Red Fern where representatives explained the testing process.
Currently surveying is taking place with testing starting in the North Fork area.
The cost of the testing is $10 million and is expected to be completed by September.

SMAHS collects items for CAPSEA

Students at St. Marys Area High School recently held a week-long school-wide drive to collect items on CAPSEA's wish list. In addition to gathering several boxes full of donated items, the drive also raised over $120 in cash and $50 in gift cards.

Ridgway man charged in statutory sexual assault

RIDGWAY– Felony charges of statutory sexual assault and corruption of minors have been filed against a Ridgway man for an alleged sexual assault on a known female, 13.
On May 1, the teenager's mother brought her daughter into the Ridgway Police Department to report that Theodore Michael Carlson, 18, of 133 VanBuren Ave., Ridgway, allegedly had sexual intercourse with her daughter. The girl reportedly said that she knew Carlson well and that the two had dated approximately two years ago.
