Adelaide M. Gallagher, 95, of Naples, Fla., died on May 21, 2012.Â
Mrs. Gallagher was born in Pittsburgh, but was a permanent resident of Naples since 1957.Â She had worked as a real estate broker.Â In 1974, she married the late John Thomas Gallagher, with whom she enjoyed 18 wonderful years of marriage before he died in 1992.Â Mrs. Gallagher was a member of St. William's Catholic Church.
Constance M. "Connie" Beaver, 73, of 113 Grove St., Johnsonburg, died Tuesday evening, May 22, 2012, at Pinecrest Manor in St. Marys following a brief illness.
She was born on Sept. 2, 1938 in Ridgway, daughter of the late Costek and Mildred Seifert Olszewski. On July 4, 1959, she married David C. Beaver, who survives.
RIDGWAY - Members of the North Central Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission [NCPRPDC] are keeping a sharp eye on federal and state spending plans as lawmakers continue to make budget adjustments.
"Not much has changed when we're looking at the federal budget updates," said Eric Bridges, the commission's executive director. "We're pretty much where we were a week ago when conversations started. Appropriation bills on the federal side are moving through each respective chamber."

Joseph F. Spowal, 83, of Ridgway-Johnsonburg Road, Johnsonburg, died early Tuesday morning, May 22, 2012 following a brief illness at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.
He was born May 19, 1929 in Pittsburgh, son of the late Giacomo "Jack" and Theresa Stoudt Spowal.
On Nov. 21, 1970 in Johnsonburg, he married Cecilia Marrone, who survives.
He had resided in Johnsonburg since 1974, and was formerly of Gibsonia and Smethport.
Sandra "Sandy" Calkins Kowalski, 72, of 2605 Rosalyn Trail, Long Beach, Ind., died on Sunday afternoon, May 20, 2012, at her residence following a longtime battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
She was born Dec. 2, 1939 in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late James and Thelma Snyder Calkins.
On Jan. 30, 1960 in Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, she married Stanley Kowalski, who survives.
She resided in Long Beach, Ind. for the past 47 years.
Robert Gary Oâ€™Brien, 71 of Windermere, Fla., died on Sunday, May 20, 2012.
Gary was born in St. Marys on Nov. 5, 1940 to Harry Thomas â€œJack â€œand Mary Loeffler Oâ€™Brien.
He grew up in St. Marys and attended Clarion University in Clarion, graduating in 1962. He later earned an MBA from Suffolk University in Boston, Mass. He spent his professional career in the educational publishing field, retiring as regional vice president from SRA/McGraw-Hill in 2006.
Irene H. Miller, 84, of Erie, died Sunday, May 20, 2012.
Born in St. Marys on July 24, 1927, she was the daughter of the late William and Irene (Lanzel) Hacherl.
She graduated from St. Marys Catholic High School. After graduation, she worked at her sisterâ€™s store, The Rita Lee Dress Shop, before moving to Erie.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Edward Miller, and her son, William Miller, both of Erie; her daughter, Christine Sigety and husband Donald of Bristow, Va.; two grandsons, Andrew and Bradley; and one great-granddaughter, Lilah.
RIDGWAY - At Tuesday's meeting of the Elk County Solid Waste Authority, Recycling/Solid Waste Coordinator Bekki Titchner said a revised lease agreement was received from North Central for the entire warehouse building used for storage and additional square footage in the Elk County Community Recycling Center at their space in the Stackpole Complex in St. Marys.
