The Fox Township Supervisors discussed the ongoing topic of the use of township soccer fields by the Elk County Catholic High School soccer team .
An approval of the team's application was tabled during the June meeting. The supervisors did not vote on any contract or addendum at the meeting.
Supervisor Dave Mattiuz created a proposed addendum to the team's rental contract with the park for the 2012 season.

Diana Smith could probably write a book about her experience working at the St. Marys Public Library since 1969â€”and chances are, sheâ€™d know exactly where to find it on the shelves, too.
Now working exclusively with interlibrary loans, Smith has also manned the reference desk and assisted clients with finding books or answers, as well as working in the office. A chance interaction led to her longtime association with the library.
It was sunny and humid on Thursday, with the temperature reportedly in the mid-80s early in the afternoon-- perfect weather for the estimated 130 area youth who took part in Memorial Park's annual Inner Park Day.
According to Ben and Luke Daghir, recreation assistants at the park and co-coordinators of Inner Park Day, there were 10 different events this year and participants were split up into 10 groups based on age and gender. The event was open to boys and girls between the ages of five and 14 years old.
Robert J. Grieggs, 77, of Albuquerque, N.M., died at home on March 24, 2012.
He was born Jan. 12, 1935 in St. Marys, son of the late Thomas J. and Anna C. Francis Grieggs. On March 15, 1957, he married Betty (Hall) Grieggs, who survives.
He served in the U.S. Army and worked for many years at Stackpole Carbon Co. before moving to Los Alamos, N.M. in 1967, where he worked at the Los Alamos National Lab until his retirement in 1993. As a side job, he worked in refrigeration repair for many years. He was also an avid hunter.
The St. Marys Little League Softball Junior all-star squad opened play in the District 10 Tournament Tuesday evening by defeating the Ridgway all-stars by a 14-1 score in five innings in a game played at Benzinger Park.
St. Marys will travel to DuBois on Saturday afternoon for a 4 p.m. contest. DuBois defeated Punxsutawney 12-2 in five innings on Tuesday.
Ridgway will play host to Brookville in an elimination game this evening at 6 p.m.
ST. MARYS - The contract between the City of St. Marys and developer Bob Yoder for the redevelopment of downtown St. Marys continues to be a source of confusion and contention, as was demonstrated at the City of St. Marys Council worksession on Monday.
Monica Radkowski of the St. Marys Heritage Preservation Group came before council at the meeting Monday seeking clarification of the city's agreement with Yoder and the restrictions it places on other construction activity located within the redevelopment district which Yoder oversees.
State Rep. Matt Gabler (R-Clearfield/Elk) will be holding a ceremony to recognize Vietnam War-era veterans in his legislative district and is asking area residents who served during that time to contact his office.
Mary Lou Peterson, 80, of DuBois, died on Monday, July 2, 2012 at Elk Haven Nursing Home in St. Marys.
Born on May 24, 1932 in Punxsutawney, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Weir Radaker and Hazel Katherine (Adamson) Radaker. On April 13, 1966, she married Frederick Peterson in the Presbyterian Church in DuBois. He preceded her in death on July 10, 1981.
Mrs. Peterson was a homemaker. She was a wonderful mother who especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ongoing difficulties following the Zito Media cable televison upgrades, implemented June 4, were the subject of much debate at Tuesday's City Council meeting, with members at odds over whether the governing body should involve itself and intervene on behalf of customers.
St. Marys hosts DuBois Thursday
KERSEY - The St. Marys Little League Baseball Major All-Star squad stayed alive in the District 10 South Division Tournament with a 12-4 victory over the Fox Township squad Monday night at the Fox Township Community Park.
St. Marys will return to action Thursday when they take on DuBois at 6 p.m. at a site to be announced. DuBois lost to Punxsutawney by a 9-0 score last night in DuBois.
