Dornisch asks council to consider drilling restrictions

November 8, 2010

City councilman Dick Dornisch recently suggested that his fellow council members consider enacting an ordinance that would prohibit Marcellus gas wells or frac ponds from being located within at least a half-mile of residential areas within the city.
Dornisch brought up the issue as a topic for discussion at council's most recent meeting and asked his fellow council members to simply consider the matter and be prepared to discuss it further at their next meeting, which is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 15.
