City Council approved the publication of a new, updated parking ordinance which addresses some of the concerns expressed by local residents, business owners and employees.
On Monday evening, Council unanimously approved to publish the changes, which are available for public review.
One of the major changes is that 24-hour parking will be permitted in all public parking lots. This includes lots that are metered as well as those designated permitted. The ordinance previously stated that city parking lots were to be closed from 2-6 a.m.
