Results of live show to be announced tonight on 'The Voice'

On last night's live show on NBC's "The Voice," Pip, the 19-year-old son of St. Marys native Jim Arnold, put on a rousing performance of The Killers' 'When You Were Young.' Voting opened immediately after the show, at 10 p.m. EST, and will continue through 10 a.m. today.

SMASD to raise lunch prices

At Monday's meeting of the SMASD Board of Directors a motion to raise school lunch prices $.10 per meal was adopted unanimously. The increase, to take effect next year, is the result of a federal mandate entitled "Equity in School Lunch Pricing." The mandate requires districts to raise lunch prices $.10 per year until the "paid meal" lunch prices reach the the $2.72 level, at which the government then reimburses districts per free lunch.
