Warm weather and abundant sunshine on Tuesday morning made for nice conditions for Activity Day at Benzinger Park. This year's 35th annual event got under way at 10 a.m. and, according to Park Director John Schneider, saw a turnout of between 60 and 70 participants.
"We'd like to see it (participation) a little bit more, but we're happy that we have the turnout that we have," Schneider said.
While the event was open to youth between the ages of four and 15 years old, Schneider noted that the majority of attendees were actually four through 12 years old.
