The Elk County Board of Commissioners approved several resolutions Tuesday morning during a board meeting.
Among the approvals was a resolution establishing the annual compensation for the tax collector for the City of St. Marys.
ST. MARYS - A bitterly cold morning coupled with high winds and icy roads in spots led school districts in Elk County to call for a two-hour delay Tuesday morning. A forecast for similar weather today led school administrators at St. Marys Area, Johnsonburg Area and Ridgway Area school districts to again announce a two-hour delay for this morning. Administrators made their decisions between 2 and 4 p.m. yesterday.
ERIE - A Johnsonburg man charged with violating federal firearm laws by allegedly conspiring to provide guns to a Ridgway resident and convicted felon has been released from federal custody on $10,000 bail.
Winter road maintenance was one of the many topics discussed Monday evening during the regular meeting of St. Marys City Council.
During a brief nine-minute public meeting, St. Marys City Council discussed ordinance 279. Matt Pfeufer, city zoning officer, said the ordinance pertains to minor changes of technical provisions and typographical errors in the city's zoning ordinance.
