At Tuesday's meeting of the Elk County Solid Waste Authority, Solid Waste/Recycling Coordinator Bekki Titchner said so far area residents were doing pretty well adhering to the new ban on disposing of electronic waste items.
As the gun control debate continues to heat up in the aftermath of the Dec. 14, 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., many schools are now considering and in some cases implementing plans to arm school personnel in hopes of thwarting future incidents.
