On Friday, Dec. 6 the students throughout the Elk County Catholic School System brought a toy in as a donation for Project Gifts for Elk County. The program is run by volunteers who collect toys from many places in the surrounding area. These toys are then bundled, packaged, and prepared for children to receive. Students from the senior class were given the opportunity to assist with this program by helping to sort and wrap the donated toys at the Project Gifts headquarters in downtown St. Marys. Shown is Pa.
Principals from South St. Marys Street Elementary (SSMSE), Fox Township Elementary and Bennetts Valley Elementary along with the St. Marys Area middle and high schools were on hand during a recent school board meeting to discuss reports on each school.
The reports centered around the entire student experience, grades, programs, academics, technology and much more.
