Fox Township Supervisors voted to terminate an agreement between the township and the operator of the Toby Water Treatment Plant effective Jan. 6, 2014.
The move stems from a request submitted by the operator in seeking additional funding for the position.
Supervisor Mike Keller stated that in reviewing the existing agreement he suggested assigning the current operator duties to Rob Singer, township code enforcement officer and certified plant operator.
Problems have been reported about driveway pipes causing issues for other property owners along Badeau Road in Fox Township.
In July the road was flooded in which residents thought it stemmed from a clogged township ditch. While the ditch is owned by the township, the road crew discovered there are two small pipes installed inside the ditch which were clogged with leaves and other debris. The material gathered from the property owner who resides above the ditch.
Upon investigation a permit could not be located for the installation of the pipes.
