Many Irish eyes were smiling in St. Marys

The names were ones like Rogan, Cashman, McBride, Mullaney, Sullivan, Malone, Mulhearn, Trambley, Fitzgerald, Halloran, O'Dell, O'Donnell, Gaffey, Doran, Fehley, Meagher, Curry, O'Brien, O'Hern, Bailey, Harper, Milligan, Harrigan, Kelly, and Phelan--just to name more than a few.  They and many others from "The Emerald Isle" are woven into the fabric of Sanct Marienstadt.  

Bucks for Brenda’s Battle Benefit planned

JAMES CITY – Brenda Emer was first diagnosed with breast cancer in July of 1997. Her son John was three years old, her daughter Allison only two. While still getting a handle on her own illness, Brenda found out that John had Type I Diabetes.
More than 15 years and eleven cancer diagnoses later, Brenda is still fighting. Those of us who are lucky enough to call her a friend marvel in her strength and lack of self-pity.

School cafe keeps students refreshed

Never mind Starbucks-- students at St. Marys Area High School have the Dutch Cafe, their own in-school coffee shop.
Open throughout the school day except for lunch periods, students can stop by to purchase a variety of beverages and snacks, study or socialize.
