School cafe keeps students refreshed

Never mind Starbucks-- students at St. Marys Area High School have the Dutch Cafe, their own in-school coffee shop.
Open throughout the school day except for lunch periods, students can stop by to purchase a variety of beverages and snacks, study or socialize.

Mental health first aid courses offered

Many people are trained to offer assistance in a medical emergency, but may have no idea what to do when confronted with a mental health crisis. A certification program that will be offered to area residents called "Mental Health First Aid USA" can help people who deal with mental health issues as part of their profession or those who just want to know more about how to help someone experiencing this type of emergency.
