Area police clamp down on bath salt use, trafficking

EMPORIUM – A spike in the number of arrests involving stimulant bath salts continues in the wake of what local law enforcement are calling the drug's dramatic rise in Elk and Cameron Counties.
On Thursday, March 21, a routine traffic stop yielded a bag of what police believe to be bath salts as well as drug paraphernalia.

Community meeting held for 'Our Town: St. Marys'

On Tuesday evening a number of community residents met with "Our Town" producers Whitney Chirdon and Jessica Peters at the St. Marys Area Middle School to discuss segment ideas and learn more about the production process.

Elk County Women's Social taking on new format

A new mixer-style format is the setup for this year's annual Elk County Women's Social presented by the St. Marys Area Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are now on sale for "Viva la Vino," a celebration of wonderful women and wine, which is being held Wednesday, April 24 from 6-9 p.m. at the Elk Mountain Winery in St. Marys.
