The Art In The Wilds art show in Kane has been growing every year since it was launched seven years ago as Kaneâ€™s major summer attraction.
Volunteer organizers estimate that as many as 6,000 visitors will stroll through Evergreen Park on Saturday and Sunday to view exquisite art by a record 39 artists from as far away as Florida.

This year the Elk County Community Foundation awarded a total of 97 scholarships to area graduating high school seniors totaling $117,000.

ST. MARYS â€“ Two individuals have been charged with drug offenses after police reportedly interrupted a drug deal at a Washington Street apartment where they found five individuals in a cloud of marijuana smoke emanating from the building's basement.

Construction work continues along SR 255 in St. Marys, and crews were busy working near its intersection with Kallas Road on Monday morning.
