Thompson visits St. Marys during campaign tour

U.S Rep. Glenn "GT" Thompson (R-5) visited St. Marys Friday evening to announce his bid for re-election this year.
Speaking to a group of about 30 constituents at the Red Fern in Fox Township, Thompson said he was honored and privileged to be among friends who feel more like family.

Gas line rupture interrupts service in Ridgway

Roughly 260 homes on North Broad Street to the Beaver development along state Route 219 north toward Johnsonburg were without no natural gas for several hours Friday.
Earlier in the day, a gas line was reportedly struck by a contractor operating a bulldozer.

Fourth annual housing expo in planning stage

The fourth annual housing housing expo, put on by the Local Housing Options Team [LHOT] of Elk and Cameron Counties, is set to be held Thursday, March 13 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Parish Center along Center Street in St. Marys.
Sacred Heart will also be providing food and beverages throughout the day.
LHOT is a coalition made up of members from various local agencies who deal with housing entities, social services, local government, planning departments, as well as faith-based and financial institutions. Area landlords also participate as members of LHOT.
