Among the latest personnel changes approved by the St. Marys Area School District Board of Directors are new hires, awarding of numerous supplemental contracts, transfer of support personnel, resignations, and leaves of absences.
School board member Bert Sorg cast an opposing vote for approval of the June personnel stating he "felt some of them could've been handled differently."
All employment recommendations are provisional for 30 days pending receipt of Act 151 and Act 34 clearance documentation and pre-employment drug testing if applicable.
Over the past few months, the Elk County Catholic Crusader baseball team has racked up an impressive 26-0 record and has one final game remaining in their season–the PIAA Class A State Championship on Friday afternoon.
Though only nine players can be out on the field at any given time, reaching this point and maintaining a perfect record has taken the effort of all 20 of the players on the Crusaders' roster.
