A new cancer support group is being started in Kersey as an outlet for patients, survivors and caregivers battling the disease. Their first meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 1 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Kersey United Methodist Church and will continue to meet at the same time and location during the first Monday of every month.

JOHNSONBURG â€“ On Wednesday, police released further details of their investigation into the death of an 18-year-old Johnsonburg woman whose body was found Tuesday in a park on the outskirts of Ridgway.

JOHNSONBURG â€“ A Johnsonburg man has been charged with first degree murder and related offenses in the death of a young woman whose body was found by police Tuesday morning at an undisclosed site in Ridgway Township.
The Elk County Commissioners on Tuesday morning approved a subcontract stemming from the state Department of Health and the Elk County Sheriff's Department for the purpose of monitoring the control of the tobacco products in Elk and McKean counties.
