As St. Marys resident Dara Benjamin now knows, you should always keep your eyes on the pies. Benjamin was crowned "Pie Queen" as more than 2,800 of the dessert items were delivered to South St. Marys St. Elementary School under her watchful eye on Saturday, Nov. 4 for a fundraising event.

St. Marys holds annual Veterans Day Memorial Service

It was warm and sunny in St. Marys at 11 a.m. on Sunday as the annual Veterans Day Memorial Service got under way on the Diamond. The roughly half-hour-long ceremony was led by master of ceremonies, retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Vic Straub, who opened his remarks expressing that they were "blessed today to have such a beautiful day for this Veterans Day."

None injured as fire destroys cab on tanker truck

NANSEN – No one was injured Friday morning when a fire destroyed the cab of a tanker truck on Route 66 near Nansen in Highland Township.
The tanker was loaded with 4,500 gallons of liquid wax, according to Bill Edinger, chief of the Highland Township Volunteer Fire Department.

SMASD Veterans Day assembly honors military service
