Lola M. Haynes

Lola M. Haynes, 88, of Pinecrest Manor, died Monday, May 2, 2011, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 18, 1923, in Austin, the daughter of Harold and Delores Shepard Major. She married Lester E. Haynes, who predeceased her in October 1958.
She had been a Ridgway resident since 1962. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, where she was also a member of the choir. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She had been employed as a housekeeper for the Bogart Hotel.

Ruth Caroline Fritz

Ruth Caroline Fritz, 95, formerly of Washington Street, Elk Haven Nursing Home and 589 S. St. Marys St., died Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at the home of Mary Beth and John Zelt.
She was born Feb. 14, 1916 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Michael and Catherine Eberle Fritz.
She attended Sacred Heart Parochial School and graduated in 1934 from Central High School. She was a retired employee of G. C. Murphy Company.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and the Catholic Daughters of America.

Kenneth G. Evans

Kenneth G. Evans, 83, of 143 Hemlock Rd., St. Marys, died Tuesday morning, May 3, 2011, at the Elk Regional Health Center after a lengthy illness.
He was born May 7, 1927, in Wilcox, son of the late Kenneth and Agda Johnson Evans. On April 8, 1949, in Johnsonburg, he married Anna Mae Heitzenrater, who survives.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Wilcox High School, Class of 1945. He retired from the Pure Carbon Company in 1996 after 44 years of service.

Martha J. Eicher

Martha J. Eicher, 97, of Pinecrest Manor, died Sunday morning, May 1, 2011, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 26, 1913 in Ridgway, the daughter of the late Martin and Anna Johnson Johnson.
She was predeceased by her husband, Walter L. Eicher.
She had lived in Ridgway all of her life. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She was a Registered Nurse in Ridgway and Elk County General Hospital, retiring in 1978.
