Martha J. Eicher, 97, of Pinecrest Manor, died Sunday morning, May 1, 2011, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 26, 1913 in Ridgway, the daughter of the late Martin and Anna Johnson Johnson.
She was predeceased by her husband, Walter L. Eicher.
She had lived in Ridgway all of her life. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She was a Registered Nurse in Ridgway and Elk County General Hospital, retiring in 1978.

George J. Weisner, 87, of 11410 Rt. 28, Brockway, died on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at McKinley Health Care Center in Brookville.
He was born on June 25, 1923 in St. Marys, son of the late John and Marie Weisner.
He married Mabel G. Holt, who preceded him in death on Dec. 1, 2005.
Celine M. Schlimm
Celine M. Schlimm, 74, of 569 Maurus St., St. Marys, died at her residence on Sunday, May 1, 2011.
She was born Sept. 29, 1936 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Vincent and Florence Simbeck Schlimm.
John "Gary" Hnath, 69, of 380 Berwind St., St. Marys, died at his residence on Sunday, May 1, 2011.Â
He was born Aug. 26, 1941 in St. Marys, a son of the late John T. and Rita Wehler Hnath.Â
On Aug. 1, 1979, in Queen of the World Church, he married Carol Caskey Hnath, who survives.Â
Ronald R. Bowley Sr., 77, of Maple Street, Johnsonburg, died early Monday, May 2, 2011, at the home of his granddaughter, Tracy Sherry-Burrows, in St. Marys after a short illness.
He was born Feb. 13, 1934, in Tidioute, son of the late Joseph and Pearl (McManigle) Bowley.
He married Christina M. (Machcoviak) on July 17, 1954, who preceded him in death on Sept. 27, 2000.
Bowley served in the U.S. Navy from 1952-1955 during the Korean War.

Peter V. “Pete” Straub, 88, of Oil City, died unexpectedly on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.
Born June 11, 1922, in St. Marys, he was the son of Irene (Fritz) and Peter P. Straub.
He was a graduate of Saint Vincent Preparatory School and Saint Vincent College with a degree in chemistry. Serving in the U.S. Navy in World War II, he was honorably discharged in June 1946 with a Pacific Theater Ribbon, an American Theater Ribbon, and the Victory Medal.
Margaret P. Smith, 87, of Elk Haven Nursing Home, and formerly of 185 Center St., died Friday, April 29, 2011 at Elk Haven Nursing Home.
She was born July 20, 1923 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late John and Philomena "Minnie" Sweener Ott. On March 23, 1943 in St. Mary's Church, she married the late William R. Smith.
Anna Mae McMinn, 93, of Elk Haven Nursing Home and formerly of 456 Main St., Kersey, died on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Elk Haven Nursing Home.
She was born November 9, 1917, in Kersey, daughter of the late Thomas and Sarah Shoffstahl Greene. On December 16, 1939, in the Callansburg Methodist Church in Callansburg, she married Richard D. McMinn who died on June 1, 2008.
Francis J. "Brownie" Braun, 88, of 122 Wendel Rd., St. Marys, died on Friday, April 29, 2011 at Pinecrest Manor.
He was born Mar 19, 1923 in St. Marys, a son of the late John and Cecila Feldbauer Braun. On July 2, 1945 in St. Mary's Church, he married the late Matilda "Tillie" Wendel Braun.
Mr. Braun was retired from Stackpole after working there for over 44 years. He was also a member of the Quarter Century Club of Stackpole. In the course of his lifetime, he donated 20 gallons of blood.Â
